Giuliano Mazzuoli ballpoint pen Cassette Cutter chrome PO1MK03

«What do bicycles have to do with pens? Nothing. There is only one memory that particularly ties me to the Officina program. My grandfather Renato had a real mechanical workshop with lathes and cutters with which he handcrafted bicycles. At the beginning of the 1950s, with the advent of motorcycles in a very hilly area like ours, the activity ceased. A few years later, at the age of about 10, I was able to get hold of an old wooden box containing metal objects of the strangest shapes. For a few years that was my treasure, which I also tried to keep hidden. In November 1999 I happened upon a modern mechanical workshop and, browsing here and there, I saw exactly the same fascinating objects with such beautiful shapes that they intrigued me even more, 40 years later. This is how Officina – Writing tools was born.»
